    • Patient Participation Group

      Core aims:

The core aims of this group (PPG) are to:

      • ensure the patients’ perspective is at the heart of local healthcare provision, so that services are of high quality and continuously improve.

      • work with the surgery staff to make sure that services are of high quality and continously improve

      • provide practical support to the surgery, foster good communication between the practice and its patients and help patients to take more responsibility for their health.

We work to secure a positive and constructive relationship between patients, the Practice and the community it serves, ensuring that the practice remains accountable and responsive to all its patients’ needs. These aims guide the 5 areas of PPG action – a summary of current actions can be found in here.

      Membership:

The PPG consists of 10 patients, who are all volunteers. It is supplemented by surgery staff and co-opted experts according to the needs of the group. All patients, over 18 years of age, are eligible to join the PPG. New members are very welcome. Please leave a message for our Chair via the surgery reception.
